Do you like yoga, but you aren’t satisfied with the limited range of poses and routines that you find on the internet?

Are you interested in yoga, but aren’t sure where to start when it comes to learning poses, proper technique, etc.?

Well, if the answer to either of these questions is yes, then you are in luck because there are a number of books dedicated to helping people expand their yoga knowledge.

One such book is called Yoga Anatomy by Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews, two world-renowned yoga experts.

But, is this book worth your time? Let’s find out.

Key Features of Yoga Anatomy

  • Written by two renowned yoga teachers, Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews
  • Features step-by-step guides on how to do different poses, how to breathe properly, etc
  • Fully detailed illustrations
  • Available in both paperback and on Kindle
  • 270+ pages of content

Is Yoga Anatomy Worth Your Money?

If you have never read a yoga instruction book, then this is definitely a great place to start.

First off, you know the information because the two authors have been at this game for a long time.

Together they have many decades of experience when it comes to teaching yoga, so you know that the authors have an idea of what they’re talking about.

The book itself is very well-written.

Each of the eleven chapters is dedicated solely to a different set of yoga poses, so if you feel like doing poses that target your arm muscles or your leg muscles, then you can skip directly to that chapter.

There are also a lot of other really helpful yoga tips on important things like breath control, proper posture, and other important things.

But what really makes this book worth buying is the illustrations.

This book features very detailed drawings for each of the poses.

Not only do the drawings make it easy to replicate the pose described in the book, but they also give you a clear idea of what muscle or muscles are being targeted by a specific pose.

So, if you don’t where a specific muscle is that is mentioned in the book, you can just look at the drawing.

This book is recommended for anyone who is interested in yoga.

For beginners, the tips will be very helpful.

For more experienced people, the book is still useful because of the sheer number of poses included in the book, so they are sure to still find plenty of new things to try.
