When you think of trampolines, you typically think of things that kids jump around on for fun.

But, believe it or not, trampolines have actually become a potent exercise tool. Because of this surge in popularity, there are a lot of exercise trampolines out there for sale.

Here’s our guide to the top options available to help you make your decision.

1) Stamina 36-Inch Folding Trampoline

Pros

The actual trampoline itself is nice. It is easy to get a good bounce on the trampoline, but at the same time, there is enough resistance in the trampoline itself that it does not feel too weak.

Plus, the trampoline uses bands instead of more conventional springs to hold the trampoline together.

Bands may sound weaker than springs, but trust us when we say that the trampoline feels sturdy.
It is also pretty compact as far as exercise trampolines go.

While this does somewhat limit the number of exercises that you can do on the trampoline, it does make it a perfect choice for smaller spaces, such as apartments.

Cons

The trampoline is a bit of a hassle to set up.

For starters, the legs of the trampoline do not get folded along with the trampoline.

Instead, you have to screw the legs on if you want to use the trampoline and then screw them off again when you to put the trampoline away.

This sounds minor, but if you are in a rush and just want to catch a quick workout, then having to drag the trampoline out and screw on each leg is a real issue.

Likewise, you have to manually to stretch the cover onto the trampoline. Depending on your upper body strength and height, this can be an issue.

Finally, while the trampoline itself is durable, some of the other components, such as the safety cover, can rip and tear very easily. Be very careful when handling this trampoline to avoid this.

2) Stamina InTone Oval Jogger

Pros

This is a great exercise trampoline for 2 reasons.

First off, it has a stabilization bar that makes it easy for newcomers to keep their balance while jumping.

Secondly, it has 2 blue cables attached that help you keep yourself dead center in the trampoline for the entire workout.

People new to trampoline exercises may not know this, but you need to keep yourself dead center when doing trampoline exercises (the center is where you get the most bounce); these blue cables help you achieve that.

Now, experienced trampoline users will get use out of these additions as well, but they likely will not need them as much as newcomers. The stabilization bar is also adjustable, so it works for people of all sizes.

Also, the trampoline comes with a monitor that tracks important information like jumps per minute, how long the workout has lasted, etc.

Cons

The biggest and really only issue with this trampoline is that some of the parts are not as sturdy as they should be.

For example, the electrical monitor that tracks workout times and the number of jumps per minute is very flimsy and it can very easily be broken off.

You should not have any issues with the trampoline itself, but beware that a lot of the accessories are flimsy.

3) Ancheer Max Load 220lbs Rebounder Trampoline

Pros

This trampoline is extremely easy to set up. Unlike some other trampolines, which can often require more than 1 person to be set up properly, this trampoline can be easily set up by anybody.

You just have to unfold the trampoline and it is ready to go. It is also very easy to put the trampoline together when you first get it.

In terms of storage, all you need to do is fold the trampoline and put it somewhere. It is relatively small when folded, so finding storage space for the trampoline is not an issue.

Finally, the trampoline also has special rubber-tipped feet, this is good because it reduces the amount of noise that the trampoline makes and it makes sure that the trampoline doesn’t do any damage to hardwood floors.

Cons

The trampoline could afford to be a bit bouncier. Because of this, you will not be able to do certain trampoline exercises with this trampoline as they require a trampoline with a bit more bounce.

One other minor complaint would be that the actual material used in the trampoline is not all that comfortable, meaning that doing an exercise which involves putting your bare skin on the trampoline can be uncomfortable.

4) Pure Fun 40” Mini Rebounder Trampoline with Adjustable Handrail

Pros

This trampoline comes with a helpful handrail to help you keep your balance while you do exercises. The rail is easily adjustable, however, which makes it useful for people of different sizes.

The actual trampoline itself is nice and sturdy. You get a good amount of bounce when you use the trampoline and it is big enough to a wide array of exercises.

Cons

This trampoline, unlike many others, requires regular maintenance. You need to regularly check things like the handrail to ensure that they are not coming loose. You may also need to check the screw to ensure that they are not coming loose.

5) Stamina 38-Inch Intone Plus Rebounder

Pros

At 38 inches, this exercise trampoline is compact and a perfect for small spaces. It also folds up easily, which makes it very easy to store.

If you were interested in getting an exercise trampoline, but you wanted to hold off due to space concerns, then this is a good trampoline for you.

Also, the trampoline comes with an electronic monitor that you can use to track important information like how many calories you have burned, how long the workout has been going on, how many jumps you have performed, and how many jumps per minute you are doing.

Finally, the trampoline has 2 attached resistance tubes. These allow you to engage in strength training at the same time that you are doing your cardio on the trampoline.

Cons

The trampoline is very difficult to set up on your own. It requires a tremendous amount of strength to properly put the cover on.

In fact, the manual recommends that 2 strong people do it (although you can do it with just 1, it requires a very strong individual).

Also, some of the accessories, namely the little counter attached to the trampoline, are a bit flimsy and seem to break very easily.

This is a persistent problem with all trampolines from this brand, as you can see from the other stamina trampoline featured in this article.
