You’ve seen Jillian Michaels achieve incredible results on TV with The Biggest Loser, and now you can have her personally instruct you in your own living room with Body Revolution.
Released back in 2013, maybe Body Revolution should feel dated.
It really doesn’t.
It has stood the test of time, and is still selling well and bringing in positive reviews nearly 5 years later. So there must be something to it.
The workouts in Body Revolution are divided into 3 progressive phases:
Phase 1
Designed as a gentle start to the program, phase 1 focuses on low impact exercises to build strength, endurance and stability, and kick-start your weight loss for quick results.
Phase 1 will act as a foundation to build on in phase 2 and 3. Phase 1 includes 4 workouts and 1 cardio session.
Phase 2
Phase 2 becomes more challenging, introducing you to heavier workouts with higher resistance.
Phase 2 is where you should really start to see results. Phase 2 includes workouts 5-8 and cardio 2.
Phase 3
You’ve passed halfway on the 90 day challenge.
Results are showing, and fat is melting away. More advanced workouts are used here, designed to dissolve those last few pounds of fat and really tone and sculpt muscles.
Phase 3 includes workouts 9-12, and “Cardio 3.”
Additional items included in the base kit:
- 90 Day Journal
- Fat Burning Meal Plans
- Fitness Guide
- 7 Day Kick Start Diet
- 30 Day Access to Jillian Michaels Body Revolution Membership
Comments from buyers
On the whole, comments on Body revolution have been positive.
Most buyer reviews start out by saying how much they love Jillian, especially after seeing her on Biggest loser. For that reason they gravitate towards her style of coaching.
Multiple reviews state that they lost 5-8 pounds in their first week, and those that complete the program were impressed with their results to the point of wanting to cycle through the program again straight away.
This in itself speaks volumes.
Completing any of these home workout 60 or 90 day routines is not an easy task.
For a package to be so well produced as to make partakers want to do it again is a very positive thing.
As for negative points, it mainly concerns the quality of the DVD’s (not the content), as in sometimes they don’t play very well or freeze.
Other comments state that they injured themselves during the routine.
To address these concerns, it’s not unusual to have the odd DVD pack be faulty here and there (although although very rare), out of the 10’s of thousands manufactured.
Most vendors, including Gaiam themselves will gladly send a replacement if this is the case.
Injuries and other disappointments from the workout program are usually due to users not using proper form, or advancing too fast before they were ready.
It’s important to listen to the body to know whether you are ready for specific exercises, or need to use the modifier, or simply do less reps in order to lessen the impact.
Other negatives commented on the abrasive nature, and some swearing from Jillian.
The thing is, if you’ve seen Jillian on TV, you know what you’re getting yourself in for.
This is only to motivate you to keep going, to dig deep and see each session through. It is on purpose.
