You might have had your idea of a perfect body before you got pregnant, but now that you’ve been through a full term and given birth to your beautiful new baby, you’ve found yourself looking into the mirror and just not being happy with the person looking back at you anymore.

If you’re in a situation where you want to get rid of your pregnancy belly fat, here are some of the things you can do.

Concentrate on toning up

Depending on how much excess belly fat you have, it might be more efficient to concentrate on toning your belly rather than putting yourself on a strict diet and doing lots of cardio exercise.

For women who have a small amount of belly fat, toning exercises such as kettlebell movements, crunches, planking and push ups can help you to tone up and get rid of the fat.

Drink plenty of water

Whether you’ve been pregnant or not, one of the key things to losing weight and belly fat is drinking plenty of water.

You should have been drinking lots of water throughout the duration of your pregnancy, as it works wonders for retaining the elasticity of your skin.

This is very important during pregnancy and after you’ve given birth, since your belly has undergone a lot of stretching, and needs to be able to easily return back to its original shape.

Work out regularly

Cardio such as running is a great way to get rid of belly fat, but you need to do it regularly in order to see results.

Don’t start doing intense cardio straight away after you’ve given birth – give yourself a few weeks to recover and start feeling like yourself again.

Working out just three times a week will help your body a lot, and if you combine cardio such as running with toning exercises such as gentle weight lifting or planking, you’ll soon start to lose the pregnancy belly fat.

Eat lots of protein

Cut down on the carbs and eat plenty of protein – this will help you along as you try to shift the stubborn fat you’ve been left with.

If you eat carbs, go for the wholemeal versions, such as brown bread and wholemeal pasta.

These are better for your body and you won’t be giving it the white flour and sugars which fuel belly fat and will make it more difficult to shift.

Fat loss is one of the most common New Year’s resolutions, and it’s one of the most searched for topics year round.

The good thing about fat loss is that once you remove the emotions and will power it takes to achieve, it’s a simple process.

Fat loss happens when you use more calories than you take in. There’s a base amount of calories used by your body for its basic functions like breathing, digestion, and your heart pumping blood throughout your body.

In addition to basic functions burning calories, body movement burns calories as well. The more you move, the more calories your body will burn.

To lose fat you will need to take in fewer calories than your body burns. You can achieve this in two ways, eating less or exercising more.

Of course, you can always do both, which is the most effective method. It’s difficult to exercise enough to counter act a bad diet, and it’s difficult to lose fat while living a sedentary life.

Now that you know how fat loss works, you can make a better decision on whether or not you should use pills that claim to reduce fat.

There are three different ways that fat loss pills work, and most use a combination of the three. They can increase energy, reduce appetite, and increase your core temperature.

Stimulants can be used to increase energy and reduce appetite. Capsaicin is commonly used to increase your core temperature, causing your body to burn more calories at rest.

Many fat loss pills, or other fat burners, use a combination of stimulants and capsaicin.

So, do fat loss pills work, and should you take them?

Some fat loss pills work, but it’s important to know what their limitations are.

It’s also important to do research on any pills you may purchase to see if they’re safe and effective. Consulting a health care professional is always a good idea when considering a new medication.

Before choosing a fat loss pill, you must decide what type you’re looking for.

Do you want one with a stimulant or do you prefer a stimulant free supplement?

Do you need help reducing your appetite or need to increase your energy?

If so, choose a fat loss pill that has caffeine or another safe stimulant. Do you prefer a fat burner that helps you burn more calories at rest? If so, choose something with capsaicin in it.

If you do choose to use a pill that helps burn fat, make sure you do your research to ensure that it’s safe.

You also need to have realistic expectations about what fat loss pills can do and what they can’t.

Taking a fat loss pill can aid in fat loss, but it won’t make up for a bad diet or lack of exercise.
