Fitness Confidential: Adventures in the Weight-Loss Game by Vinnie Tortorich and Dean Lorey Review
On the surface, this is technically a fitness book and the title, Fitness Confidential, would seem to support that.
However, to call this just a fitness book is underselling it greatly.
This book isn’t just full of boring tips and strategies about how to lose weight and build muscle.
It’s actually a very interesting and very compelling book.
This is due in large part to the presence of the co-author Dean Lorey.
He has a long history of successful novels and knows how to write.
He does a very good job of taking Tortorich’s points and making them very readable and making them flow well.
Don’t get us wrong, this book definitely contains its fair share of tips and strategies on how to make yourself healthier.
Plus, you know that they’re good tips because Vinnie Tortorich has over 20 years of experience in the weight loss and bodybuilding industries.
He also hosts a successful podcast based around the subject.
The book also contains observations and stories from Tortorich’s time in the bodybuilding industry.
He also includes a very interesting section in which he explains how he prepared for a very high-intensity bicycle race.
At only 250 pages, this is a short but compelling read.
You should be able to finish it over the course of a couple of days.
But, make no mistake about it, this is such a compelling book that you will almost certainly be rereading it at least once.
Plus, you’re probably going to want to bookmark your favorite tips and strategies and come back to those pages.
