Mindful eating is a lifestyle choice and sometimes it’s a little hard to keep up with it.
It’s easy to fall back into your old habits. That’s why Meal by Meal is such a great find! The daily motivation format is great for giving you a little push or reminder.
Each day you get a tip, quote, or tidbit to help you with your mindful eating journey. It’s a companion to help you create a healthier relationship with food.
It pulls from Zen stories, Native American practices, various religious texts, famous quotes, and meditations. You get a little bit of everything!
Will this book help you lose weight? It depends.
Mindful eating can help you eat less and still be satisfied. It can help you stop binge eating and make healthier choices.
This book won’t lose weight for you but it’ll be a very helpful tool in sticking to your plan day after day.
You can get this book in paperback which is nice for bookmarking and taking notes in, but you can also save a nice chunk of money and get the Kindle version if you want.
Remember, you can read Kindle books on any device including PC, Mac, cell phones, and tablets. It’s not just Kindle ereaders!
Mindful eating is really a form of meditation revolving around food so taking a bit of time to read a daily meditation can really open you up to starting the day right.
Most people who bought this book said it helped them stay on track better than ever before.
By reading their daily passage during one of their meals it helped them center around eating mindfully rather than falling back into bad habits.
Reviewers all agree that on top of being great content, the book itself is beautiful and well made.
The biggest complaint is that it’s not as “content rich” as most people are used to.
You do need to remember that this is a daily motivation book so it’s meant to take just a few minutes to read the entry for that day so you can move on and carry the words with you. Don’t expect to spend hours reading it, more like 2-3 minutes each day.
Some also said that not all of the herb or food recommendations were helpful to them, but the overwhelming response was that there was so much great stuff that a handful of days they didn’t enjoy didn’t stop the book from being worth reading.
If you’re looking for a way to add a little more motivation and inspiration to your daily rituals, this book is a great place to start.
