If you have trouble sleeping, there’s a high chance that you’ve tried all sorts of things in order to help yourself doze off more easily at the end of the day.

While you might have tried drinking herbal teas before, you probably haven’t really taken the time to go through an exhaustive list and discover the benefits of each type of tea and how they could help you to get more sleep and better quality sleep.

Here are some of the most popular (and delicious!) herbal teas to help you nod off.

1) Camomile tea

This would be the most common tea that comes to mind if you ask people to recommend a tea that helps you to fall asleep better.

For many years, this type of herbal tea has been a go-to drink for those struggling to get some shut-eye at night.

It is considered to be a very mild tranquilizer, thus helping you to relax and feel sleepier.

You should try drinking a warm cup of camomile tea about half an hour before you head upstairs to bed.

2) Lavender tea

Definitely not as popular as camomile tea, but you’ve probably heard about the benefits of the lavender plant and how it can help with many different things.

Apart from putting some drops of lavender oil on your pillow so that the scent can help you to fall asleep, try drinking some lavender tea when you’re ready to go to sleep.

3) Peppermint tea

Even if you have no problem falling asleep, peppermint tea is a great drink to add to your diet.

One of the main features of peppermint tea is that it helps your muscles to relax, and this is why it’s so good at helping you to fall asleep better.

Many people struggle to relax their bodies when they’re lying down ready for bed, so giving your body an extra nudge to relax could make all the difference.

4) Lemon tea

Tea flavored with lemons could be exactly what you need in order to get forty winks every night.

However, it’s highly recommended that if you suffer from insomnia or just really struggle to sleep, you should drink lemon tea alongside other herbal teas such as lavender or even valerian tea, since lemon tea on its own is unlikely to have enough properties and be strong enough to give you everything that you need.
