This appealing multi-workout bench combines incredible versatility with first-class durability. It is able to support a maximum weight of 650 pounds which is very impressive.
The X-Class Light Bench is probably one of a handful of affordable multi-workout benches that’s capable of accommodating higher weight loads.
In terms of height range, the bench is able to accommodate users who are 5 feet to about 6 feet 4 inches tall.
Easy Assembly
Upon opening the cardboard package, you’ll find all the parts and assembling components properly laid out, along with a couple of wrenches and an instruction handout to help you put together the bench.
This thing is actually a breeze to assemble.
Expect the assembly process to take about 30-45 minutes of your time.
Comfort, Durability and Stability
When it comes to durability, stability, and comfort, the X-Class Light Bench exceeds most multi-workout benches in this price point.
The steel frame construction is heavy-duty all the way.
If you have ever tried to use a lower quality workout bench that shifts about, you’ll know how annoying it is, not to mention dangerous.
Not the case with the Fitness Reality bench. No wobbling, no shifting about, and no danger of it collapsing.
It helps that the feet of the bench are fitted with well-made rubber caps as they seem to contribute a lot to the equipment’s stability.
Comfort-wise, it’s a thumbs-up for the most part.
From the thick, comfy vinyl that envelops the workout bench to the generously cushioned roller pads, the comfort level offered by the X-Class Light is good.
However, it would have been so much better if the bench portion was lengthier by, say, around 5-7 inches.
Padding and Comfort
All the pads are well sealed with solid stitching.
Providing extra cushion for the roller pads is a nice touch and gives that much needed comfort to your shins, and in particular, your calves while you’re performing back extensions.
The foot rest which is reasonably wide and does a good job of keeping your feet from slipping.
Pleasantly Versatile
The extension bench can be adjusted easily and smoothly.
Aside from multiple height adjustments, there are also 4 bench adjustments, from completely flat to a full decline.
These adjustments will enable you to perform a wide range of exercises including one-arm dumbbell rows which target your back, sit-ups in a variety of angles, knee raises, flat/incline(depending on height)/decline dumbbell presses and flies for building or toning your chest muscles, back extensions, and even preacher curls for developing your arms.
It is safe to say that this bench alone covers pretty much all your core workout needs.
The lack of adjustments for performing incline dumbbell presses is a little disappointing though.
